Langtang & Helambu Treks

Being close to the nation's capital, Kathmandu, the Langtang Region of Nepal is also quite well known and accessible. The region is protected as the Langtang National Park, which was established in 1976 and spans an area of 1710 sq km in the districts of Nuwakot, Rasuwa, and Sindhupalchok to the north of Kathmandu.

The main peaks of this area, which borders Tibet to the north and east, are Yala Peak (5520 m), Dragmarpo Ri (6578 m), Dorje Lakpa (6966 m), and Langtang Lirung (7227 m). There are also numerous additional summits that are as important.

Due to its extreme elevation shift, the Langtang Region's height ranges from 800 m to 7227 m, and therefore, so does its temperature.
